Auditions
for Cantori Domino are ongoing throughout the season. The process is simple: First,
attend a Tuesday evening rehearsal and sing with us to determine if we are a good fit. You would then make an appointment
with the director, Maurita (Bunny) Phillips-Thornburgh, to sing for her (usually at a time before or after a subsequent rehearsal).
She will want to hear 1) something you have prepared (anything
from a folk song or hymn to an art song or aria); 2) something
she chooses for you to read; and 3) some scale work to determine
your range, general vocal qualities, etc. Basic requirements
include: ·
Good intonation ·
Good choral tone quality ·
Basic rhythm ·
Reasonable ability to read
music Prior

323 662-5007 to let us know of your interest and at which rehearsal we should expect you. We generally schedule six-eight
rehearsals before each season concert, so we suggest that you choose a rehearsal as we begin preparation for a concert (e.g.,
for the December 5, 2010 concert, we will begin rehearsals on October 12, 2010). Rehearsals are on Tuesday evenings, 7:30pm, at St. Augustine by-the-Sea
